Paul Isaak - About the Artist.

Brought up in Calgary, Canada, Paul Isaak has been a performer for the majority of his life. He began his career performing magic at children's birthday parties when he was still a child himself. By the time he entered Jr. High school, he was actively involved in community theatre productions, acting classes, and was enthralled by the vaudeville era.

Juggling - an Unhealthy Obsession

Paul was given a book on juggling as a Christmas gift when he was fourteen years old, and he was immediately hooked. His Mom has regretted giving him the book ever since. With that one gift, her hopes of having a doctor for a son were forever dashed.

Already prone to fidgeting, juggling became a way to keep his hands busy, and he experimented with throwing around anything within reach. Oranges, Apples, China figurines, and cats were never safe in his home again. Swiftly the magic in his children's show vanished, and his career as a stage juggler was born.

Since then his show has taken him around the world, and offered him the opportunity to perform with many of his childhood idols, including John Mellencamp and The Beach Boys. The father of three children, Paul is constantly surrounded by moments of laughter and joy. His goal is to bring more mirth to a world that often overlooks the joy in everyday living.

Teaching offers Paul a way to share his skills with others, and to spread the joy that juggling has brought him. While he is often booked to teach workshops and classes, he is often be found back stage after a show, training a new juggler, just because they asked.

When he's not on stage, Isaak enjoys Scuba diving, Skiing, Photography, and tries to convince himself that Jogging isn't completely evil. He is a dedicated volunteer blood donor, and is rapidly nearing his 100th donation. He intends to keep juggling and searching for laughs till his secret plan for world domination is ready.
